By now you have probably heard how Robotanists have collectively gathered the courage to cover Radiohead’s The King of Limbs just 24 hours after it was released. It’s a daring move, but it takes some spontaneity and talent to rearrange an album that has only been out for a day. Just over the weekend, Robotanists managed to post their covers of each Radiohead song off of the 8-track album one by one on YouTube. After a few final touches through mastering, they now have their entire version of The King of Limbs available as a free download on their bandcamp page.
I also have the album available just after the jump for you to stream… Take a listen to it because it’s involved with this week’s contest! Remember today is Monday, so Robotanists will be continuing their residency at Silverlake Lounge tonight with Light FM, Hands and The Secret Language! Another residency night means another chance for you to win some Robotanist goodies!

WILD TONIC 
They were all done really well. It’s awesome how you guys sound totally different covering Radiohead. :D If I had to choose it would be between Separator, Lotus Flower and Bloom. Lotus Flower ends up being the best cover in my opinion. It sounds so dreamy. Radiohead makes it soothing.. you guys do more than just that! It also has that dreamy feel.
I love that you guys covered an album in a day. It’s nuts!
My favorite is Give Up the Ghost because it’s even more ethereal than the original. Not an easy thing to do!
The whole cover album sounds great but if it has to be one I have to go with Feral. Love how it’s up tempo but soothing at the same time. Drums, voice, all the sounds = nice!

like Gnarls covering “reckoner”..its his another version which is like a African american version of radiohead
