Eliza Rickman Music Video: Cinnamon Bone

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about sharing an artist whose main instrument is a toy piano, but the second Eliza Rickman opens her mouth, all worries simply dissipate. Rickman is one of those artists who look and sound like everything she does is effortless which makes us all a little jealous and mesmerized at the same time. Not only is she gorgeous but her vocals have a sensual richness to them that can even make an instrument such as a toy piano seem like just the right touch.

Her sound is vaudeville meets ethereal meets indie rock as her lovely vocals are reminiscent of Feist and Annie Clark combined and her arrangements are bare yet satisfying songs that have a similar and haunting beauty to PJ Harvey ballads.

Check out her backward slow-motion video for her song, “Cinnamon Bone,” below. I’ve also included the track, “Black Rose,” after the jump.
