As corny as it sounds, Tame Impala is a band that simply makes my heart smile. The Perth, Australia-based band released their EP more than a year ago. However, they recently released their debut album, Innerspeaker, last month and I am now obsessed with their psychedelic 60s rock and roll sound. It’s quite impressive since this group has a bunch of baby faces.
My current favorite is “Alter Ego” which has a multitude of layers in just the guitar leads. However, the fuzz-enveloped “Lucidity” is also a great listen, which is exactly why I put it on this month’s mixtape. Check Alter Ego out below as well as their latest single, “Solitude Is Bliss.”
