Kid Cudi, Bethany Cosentino, Rostam Batmanglij: All Summer

People can call this selling out or whatever they want to but I don’t really care either way because the convergence of rapper Kid Cudi, vocalist/guitarist Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast and multi-instrumentalist and producer Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend has possibly brought us our summer anthem with the song… well, “All Summer.” Forget that Katy Perry crap.

Apparently, Converse has this project called “Three Artists, One Song” which I only vaguely remember because the last team-up with Julian Casablancas, Santigold and Pharrell’s collaboration, “My Drive Thru” wasn’t really my cup of tea. However, “All Summer” perfectly combines all the skills of each member for not only a memorable tune but a fun one at that.

You can grab and listen to the track below. If you’re so inclined to see the three together in a music video, you can go to the Converse site to watch them all act silly in a living room while wearing giant paper mache heads. The site also highlights each artist individually with a video of their own.
