If there’s one full-length debut album I’m beyond excited for this year, it’s Lissie‘s. She first won my heart over with her track, “Everywhere I Go,” which you can listen to here. She has this amazing tone to her voice that tells you she’s not just another chick telling stories on her guitar. To help support this theory even further, she’s offered us unexpected but amazing covers such as Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters.”
She’s been on tour quite a bit for the last year or so and she’s recently unveiled another cover. This time around she does Kid Cudi’s hit song, “Pursuit of Happiness” and it really suits her even if she is categorized as folk music. Hearing her swear and watching her take a swig from a tequila bottle on stage makes me an even bigger fan of hers.
