The indie rock outfit who go by the name of Saint Motel has had a pretty good year with the successful release of their EP, “ForPlay,” which contains six tracks and six music videos to go along with each song. Not only do they remind me of the younger days of Weezer but this four-piece has so much charm it’s no wonder people get into a frenzy during their live shows.

Sam Sparro, is also a well-known name in the indie world but comes from the other side of the musical spectrum with his electronic arrangements. As a visionary who has helped out other LA artists such as Love Grenades, he’s now put his golden touch on Saint Motel’s song, “Dear Dictator” which made my Top 50 Songs of 2009 list.
