Contrary to the beliefs of those who have just gotten into the music from Berkeley, California-based band, The Morning Benders have been around since 2005. They’ve paid their dues as they they’ve played countless show, put out several EPs and finally have gone on tours with big names such as Yo La Tengo, MGMT, and Yeasayer.
One of the more recent bands The Morning Benders have toured with is Grizzly Bear and it worked out in their favor. Their latest album, Big Echo, was then produced by Grizzly Bear’s bassist, Chris Taylor. Although many have been split on their reactions to the latest album, I find that there are still quite a few gems such as “Excuses.”
